Detailed description

Figured glass is also known as pattern glass is a kind of flat glass manufactured by calendering method.
 
During the forming process, the calendered glass is in contact with the calendered silver or die-casting table, so that the surface is not smooth, the light is diffused, and the light is transmitted without being completely transparent.
The physical and chemical properties of embossed glass are basically the same as those of ordinary transparent flat glass. It has the characteristics of light transmission and opacity only in optics, which can make the light soft, and has the screen protection effect of privacy and certain decorative effect.
 
Manufacturing Process:
  • Single roll method:
The single-roll method is to pour the glass liquid onto the calendering table. The table top can be made of cast iron or cast steel. The table top or roller is engraved with patterns. The roller is rolled on the glass liquid surface. The embossed glass is then sent to the annealing kiln.
  • Double roll method:
The production of embossed glass by the double-roll method is divided into two processes: semi-continuous calendering and continuous calendering. The glass liquid passes through a pair of water-cooled rolls and is pulled forward to the annealing kiln with the rotation of the rolls. Generally, the surface of the lower roll has concave-convex patterns and the upper roll is a polishing roll, thus making embossed glass with patterns on one side.
